Answer-
You are at the most critical age of your life when you are22 years old. This is the time when you are going to take the decisions in your life which are likely to decide the course of your life. I can’t give any standard advice to everyone because everyone is different. However, I can perhaps give you some basic principles based on which you can take better decisions of your life.
1: Know yourself
We in India follow the rat race till our graduation. We follow the advice of our parents for choosing our career. Even if your parents have not forced you to choose your course for graduation, you still follow your friends for deciding your career.
However, when you are doing your graduation, you start getting a real feel of your future life. For example, I never enjoyed my engineering though I managed to get decent grades. I, however, did not know what I would like. It was only after passing my B Tech and working in corporate for a year; I realized that I am not suited for engineering jobs. I loved teaching and managing people. Hence, I made up my mind that either I am going to join civil services or I am going to become a teacher. I still stand by my decisions which was taken then after lots of deliberation. If there is anything I love more than my job, it is teaching. I may still join academics at some later age.
You must decide what you wish to become based on what you are. This is not possible unless you know yourself viz. your liking and dislikes, love and hatred, strengths and weaknesses etc. This is the right age to know yourself.
2: Career First
Once you decide what you wish to do, go full throttle for building that career. At 22, you have lots of energy and motivation; but you also have lots of diversions. Focus all your energies in one single direction so that you get the best result. You have to maintain some distance from your girlfriend/boyfriend to give your 100%on your studies in case you chose to go for higher studies or for civil services preparations.
It is not easy because at this age, you want everything of everything.
You must decide not only what you want in life but also what you must sacrifice to get what you want.
If you are in the job where you wish to build your career,you must give your 100%. This is going to give you an edge since most people of your age would still be confused and would be trying different things in life.Once you take a head start and build a good reputation, you may get the advantage for rest of your life.
3: Develop Personality
You are a unique person and let everyone know what makes you unique. You should not try to be like everyone else nor should you try to be different for being different. You must really identify your uniqueness and nurture it. You must represent something which can uniquely identify you as a person. You may be known as
A nice personAn honest personAn efficient personA knowledgeable personA resourceful personSomeone who deliversSomeone who is very presentable
You can have one or more of these traits which you must take seriously so that you develop a unique personality.
You must make a brand of yourself by developing your personality.
4: Have a Philosophy of Life
It is childish to have rigid principles in life and see the world in black and white. These principles are meant only for children as they can’t be understand the complexity of life. However, you as a 22 years old young person, are mature enough to understand life as it is. This is the right age to develop the philosophy of your life which you are going to follow for the rest of your life.
Decide the principles which you want to follow and also the extent to which you are going to follow it. Don’t overburden yourself with the ideals, ethics and morals. They are only a guide to you for leading a better life. Don’t let them become a hindrance to enjoy the life itself. These are the means and you should not allow them to become an end in itself.

You must marry a person who has similar social, cultural and educational background. It is difficult to manage a relationship when the gaps are too wide in the values of the partners.
Choosing the right life partner is very important for your success and joy in your life.
